Madame Tussauds London – Attraction Review
Madame Tussauds are now a regular occurrence throughout the world, however it all began in London, where this world famous attraction stands just a stone’s throw away from Marlybone, and has been in operation since 1843. Meet some of the world’s most famous faces from politicians to pop stars as you venture through this interesting and entertaining attraction. You first enter the “Party” room where there is a huge collection of stars including; Angelina Jolie, Benedict Cumberbatch, David & Victoria Beckham and many more. Next up you head off to the Catwalk for an interactive fashion experience meeting famous faces along the way. Bollywood and Film Stars follow on from this, where you can meet E.T, The Hulk and even Shrek in his swamp.
Leading on from the film stars you can catch a glimpse at some famous sporting legends such as Tom Daley and Mo Farah. One of the main highlights of the experience is where you come face to face with the celebrities of the music world including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, One Direction and more. As well as pop sensations you can meet world leaders past and present. There is also a delightful selection of past and present Royals, our favourite wax-work has to be the rather miserable looking Queen Victoria! After having a selfie with every one we could get our hands on, we tried out the New for 2016 attraction, The Sherlock Holmes Experience. This is a rather fast paced theatrical experience filled with mystery and special effects. It was good fun, and was very well themed, so make sure you leave time to experience it.
There is also a large Marvel area where you can have your photo with Iron Man, The Hulk and many more. Make sure you don’t miss the 4-D cinema which has a great film filled with action from start to finish. Our highlight of the attraction was the new Star Wars themed area. This was very immersive and had some fantastic photo opportunities with characters such as R2D2, Hans Solo and many more. You finish off the experience on the “Spirit of London” ride, which tells the tale of this inspiring city through animatronics and a rather catching musical score. Madame Tussauds is a fantastic attraction that every celebrity lover should visit. Since our visit a few years ago there has been some fantastic new additions which blend the fantastic wax-works into a more interactive and immersive experience for all to enjoy.
