Clarence Pier is positioned in Southsea, Portsmouth and was originally constructed in 1861. The pier is one of those quintessentially British seaside piers that have a selection of rides as well as a variety of amusements, eateries and more. Clarence Pier isn’t ground-breaking, it doesn’t have a multi-looping roller coaster or thrill rides in abundance, but it is simply a classic British afternoon out. One of their star attractions is the Sky-trail, which is a high ropes courses suspended above the pier, which is also a great spectator sport! Some of the other attractions that are firm favourites include; Skyways, the parks signature roller coaster; Dodgems, a firm classic and fun for all the family; The Waltzers, another thrilling ride for all the family and also a variety of different children’s attractions. The Pier has also got the Solent Wheel which is a fantastic way to see the beautiful coastline in this panoramic observation wheel. Clarence Pier does what it does well, and is a great afternoon out for all the family.
